Shelter is a video streaming service bringing you the best in architecture, home & design. Showcasing award winning feature films, television series and shorts. After working on a series of film posters for independent production company Ninti Media, I was approached by the founder of Shelter, to collaborate on this one a kind streaming service. Since its inception, I have been partnering with Shelter on projects ranging from branding to key art and marketing projects.

BRANDING
Shelter subscribers are a range of ages but often, semi-retired and well travelled. Traditional print media has often been how they have discovered Shelter and for that reason I chose to gain inspiration from architectural publications for the desired look of the logo mark. The client wanted to the logo to have a minimal, clean and engaging feel and for that reason a sans-serif font was chosen. Due to the architectural and design focused subject matter, as well as the need for the logo to have a modern feel, I thought Futura, with its clean, sharp look seemed like the perfect fit. By altering the letterforms slightly to represent the the angles of a modern building I was able to provide added context and appeal to the final design.
EXCLUSIVE CONTENT
Shelter creates original content from around the globe that is exclusively available to Shelter subscribers. Their films have been selected for the world’s most prestigious Architecture and Design film festivals. I have worked on the creation of logos, key art and digital assets to be used on the platform to showcase these Shelter Originals. As well as promotional material for each originals series.
ONLINE PRESENCE
Along with creating platform based assets, I worked alongside the social media manager to provide content for Instagram, Facebook and Blog pages. Design material has also been used to launch and promote their channels Shelter Events & Shelter Extras. As well as special curations and email newsletters.
KEY ART & POSTERS
In collaboration with the team at Shelter, I am responsible for providing the majority of artwork for the platforms content. This includes creating key art for originals series and special curations. Poster art for upcoming titles and channels are created or adapted weekly.
PROMOTIONAL ASSETS
I have helped promote Shelter through engaging digital and print assets. In collaboration with the marketing team and social media manager, content has been created for the IOS app store & Google Play. Alongside web advertisements, digital proposals and social media campaigns.
